Purchase: My trainer let me use her Exselle saddle one day, and I fell in love with it so I decided I needed my own! I purchased my saddle from Bucks County Saddlery consignment online for $800 plus $25 shipping. The saddle was brand new! So I got this Exselle for a steal because it runs for approximately $2,200 new.
Likes: I love EVERYTHING about the saddle. It has a moderately deep seat which holds my position very well. The padded knees are also a plus because I was having a difficult time finding a saddle that fit my 4 year old gelding and didn't interfere with his shoulders.
Dislikes: The only thing that I have trouble about with this saddle is the color. It is an oak/chestnut color, which does not match my bridle, leathers, or girth, so I will soon be purchasing an Exselle girth.
Quality: The quality of the leather is superb. I have no trouble cleaning and oiling it, and it still looks new. It has taken a little bit to break in the saddle, but now it is so comfortable that I could ride in it all day.
Summary: I would recommend this saddle to anyone who needs an all purpose saddle, or needs a nice quality event saddle.
