Purchase: I got this saddle for a little under $900 on Ebay.
Likes: It was in beautiful shape. The leather was lovely, the workmanship beautiful. At a walk, the seat was very comfortable and cushy. Once I trotted though, it did not feel balanced, and I couldn't widen the fit of the tree to get it more balanced. It was already at its widest.
Dislikes: The adjustable tree was not very adjustable, and this tree only adjusted to about a medium wide at best. I bought it to "grow" with my youngster, but, as it already was the width he needed, I knew he would outgrow it right away, so I resold it on Ebay. For me, the twist was extremely wide, and I simply couldn't find my "spot" in it. In defense of the saddle, though, everyone has a different body type, so what doesn't work for me works very well for others.
Quality: The construction and quality were very good. I understand the newer models have a much greater scope of adjustment with the adjustable mechanism.
Summary: Just not the saddle for me, but could work well for someone else. Just because it says it is "adjustable" does not mean it will fit any horse.
