Purchase: I purchased this saddle online at ebay and paid $500. I have been using it for about two months now and I am very happy with it. I had adopted a rescue Thoroughbred last year, mainly for trail riding, but also wanted to train in dressage.
Likes: I am very happy with the saddle for several reasons. The seat makes it easy to balance over the horse and the large knee rolls give extra security. The leather is still in good condition for an older saddle, maybe ten years approximately. It has a wide tree that fits my Tb perfectly when I use a sheepskin shim pad. He moves quite well in this saddle, lots of freedom. I also like the V billets as they help keep it all in place.
Dislikes: Some areas of the leather are worn, but I guess that is to be expected.
Quality: Good quality. the leather has stood the test of time. The wool flocked panels are really nice. They are starting to conform to my horses shape, much better than foam.
Summary: For the money it is well worth it.
