Purchase: I found this saddle on eBay and it had no reserve price. So I bid and won it for $300, it was brand new and still had the tags on it. I know the msrp for this saddle is approx $1300. So I was pretty excited to get it home and try it out.
Likes: Haha.. Let's see... The color is pretty nice. And the flocking seemed to be quite supportive. That's is the only positive thing I can thing off.
Dislikes: Oh where to begin... It fit every type of horse horribly! I tried it on my TB mare who has a very high wither and it pinched her back so badly, I also tried it on my warmblood who is very round, and my sport pony who virtually has no wither, and it poorly fit every single horse. The flaps are so far forward that it makes it horrible for flat work, and I found it to provide little to no aid over the larger fences! Needless to say a client of mine bought the same saddle and she experienced the same problem. So we both sold ours. Don't even waste your money. This saddle will hurt and pinch your horse.
Quality: It's called HDR sellier France so you'd assume it's French leather yes? Ha no! It's cheap horribly constructed argentinian leather. It took literally a gallon of saddle oil to soften up the cardboard leather. And the stitching started to pull apart within the first few rides. I was not happy!
Summary: Don't waste the money, or subject your horse to back pain. Buy a CWD, Antares or Amerigo.
