Purchase: I bought these at Sprucewood Tack in Tavistock for $399.95. I was interested in the Ariat Challenges, but the sales person suggested I try these.
Likes: I like that they come in a variety of widths and heights. I purchased the Tall-Slims. They fit my leg like they were made for it! I have never put on a boot and really felt like I could just hop on and ride like I did with this one! The true spanish topline really accentuates my long leg without making it look like I am walking on stilts. There is an elastic gusset on the inside of the boot as well as one that runs all the way along the zipper, which really helps make the boot fit like it was mad for me! This zipper-length gusset also takes some of the pressure off of the zipper, to help it not fail. The zippers are YKK and although they were a little sticky at the beginning, they are perfect now! I have ridden in them twice and they don't feel like they are brand new. They feel like they have been perfectly broken in without any pain what so ever. The dropped less than a quarter of an inch and fit perfectly now! The leather is Italian and very soft, but hard-wearing as well (my horse stepped on me the other day, and there is no marking!)
Dislikes: I love these boots but there is one thing. I have very tall arches and these boots kind of pressed on them at the beginning, but now they are PERFECT.
Quality: amazing leather quality, which is grippy and hard-wearing but SUPER soft. the sole is designed to give maximum grip, and yet to allow your foot to readjust when you need to. the zipper works great and there was no break in time.
Summary: The Botton Line is... BUY these boots. They are almost custom for my hard to fit legs, but they are sold off the rack! The price is right too! I love these boots! definitely a must buy!
