Purchase: After ALOT of hesitation about this brand, with all the negative reviews online I was very leary of this saddle. But I needed a treeless saddle FAST and found this on Ebay used for $250.00
Likes: Great quality despite the negative reviews, maybe I just got lucky, but I see no problems with this saddle. I have also owned a Bob Marshall saddle so I can compare the two, and they are comparable, not as much contact as the BM but you definitely feel your horse underneath you, which is what I was looking for. Only rode in it for a short time today after it came in, but it fit my horse beautifully and freed up her movement alot.
Dislikes: Fenders. I don't care for fenders in general on any saddle, being short legged, they tend to get stuck on the top of my boot.
Quality: Seems to be decent quality to me, I am by no means an expert at saddles, but this one seems to put together well. Again with all the negatives out there not sure if I got lucky.
Summary: Well worth the $250 used, I have no idea how much they are new, but I would say this saddle could/should be in the $500-$600 range. It is the endurance model and does look exactly like the Bob Marshall endurance, not cheap looking like a lot of reviews say. I would say Hilason is worth the chance.
