Purchase: I bought this saddle on eBay in May '10 for $695! It even came with a gorgeous Courbette girth. :)
I wanted a saddle that fit my high withered TB and my short legs. It's labelled as a medium wooden tree, 16 1/2" (I'm 5').
Likes: The leather is sublime. The seat is nicely balanced with a wide twist. The seat and blocks are supportive, but not restrictive. The cutback and overall shape of the gullet allow for a high wither and big moving shoulder. I have an easy time opening my hip in this saddle.
Dislikes: When I bought it, I had a short billet prejudice. I always thought the buckles would be in the way. This saddle has changed my mind about short billets. It looks neater, and there's no appreciable difference in feel.
Quality: It's a Passier, it's beautiful.
Summary: I've tried a lot of saddles in the past year. This is the one I like. After a total reflock, this is the one my TB likes too. This is a narrow saddle. It works for a horse with a back like a clothesline, stretched from a towering wither.
The width of twist and the seat design makes it really easy to get quality thigh contact. The blocks are minimal and just hug the knee. I really can't say enough about the quality and balance of this saddle.
