Purchase: I bought this bit from Apple Saddlery in Ontario for $34.95.
Likes: When showing with my mare in Hunters, she gets really bull headed and ignores the half-halts in my regular french link D-ring when I need to slow her that I use at home to school her in. So I found this bit to be very useful, and she respects it more.
Dislikes: Nothing. For a horse that needs a little more bite when showing or even schooling a horse a home. I would not recommend this bit for someone who doesnt know it, as its a very strong bit and can be extremely harsh in the wrong hands. The reason I'm using it, is because my coach recommended it to me.
Quality: Looks like a slow twist, but with a LOT MORE twists on it. I like the full cheek because I can eventually add the keepers to give a little leverage to it.
Summary: Use caution when using this bit. I love this bit, but would only buy it again if I had a different horse that really needed it.
