Purchase: I bought my saddle from a trainer that was leaving the state for another stable job. I had been riding in this saddle for 4months before I bought it. The original owner bought it for $998.00 but I only paid $675.00. My trainer had had this saddle for a year counting the time I had been riding in it.
Likes: The saddle is VERY comfortable and fabric covering does not squeak like the wintec 500. The seat is not the deepest to my standards however I like a very deep seat. The extra middle strap that is attached to the flap makes it so your leg doesn't pop because of the very big counter block. And because of the counter block I have found myself in a rather comfortable and nicer looking dressage position.
Dislikes: Because wintec is synthetic I find it does not look the "best" however it looks nicer then some wintec saddles. Because most of the saddle is a smooth fabric type my horse's hair gets stuck on it very easily but it is easy to clean it off. Everything fits my horse however it doesn't fit me or my horse exactly. I tried a new saddle that my trainer recommended last week and I found it more comfortable for my horse and myself but that is due to how my horse gained alot of weight over the spring.
Quality: As long as you don't have to get CAIR it is perfect. I find that is doesn't have any wear and tear and wrinkles due to leather bending in a certain way.
Summary: It is a very nice and comfortable saddle. I find it wonderful overall but there are a couple of things about it that I find rather annoying. If you are looking for a comfortable, nice/ok appearance, low-maintenance saddle then this is the one for you. You can compete, train, and free ride in this saddle nicely. If you are looking for a a high-maintenance, comfortable, beautiful appearance saddle that you can compete to the top and free ride but not train in it then you are looking at the wrong saddle.
