Purchase: I purchased this particular saddle pad at my local tack store for $113.00 plus tax U.S.D.
I needed a "versatile" saddle pad that I could use for everyday riding.
Likes: The SMx Air Ride is lightweight, breathable, and highly shock-absorbent. It is designed for riders who want a little more padding between their horse and saddle. The heavy-duty 3/4 inch core allows even air circulation in every direction, resulting in accelerated heat dispersion and moisture evaporation. The horse feels less heat and cools off faster, increasing overall performance. The pad also features a fleece lining that is easy to clean and dries quickly. This new 2010 saddle pad also comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee/one-year warranty.
Dislikes: I really wish that this particular pad didn't come with a synthetic fleece bottom. I think that for the money the pad should have 100% wool fleece or felt instead.
Quality: The overall construction and quality seem to be very good. I'm really hoping that the stitching will hold up.
Summary: A very good pad for everyday use. The pad comes in a wide variety of colors to suit very horse and rider.
