Purchase: I bought the saddle from ValleyVet.com and it come with a free bridle and chest collar. It cost $1299 with no shipping. It was available in stores at the same price, but without the free bridle and breast collar.
Likes: This saddle has the new gel pad, layered seat. I had to bulged disks in my back and have trouble sitting the trot and this saddle makes it possible for me to do that again. Great leg positioning too. The medium width fits my quarter horse, so the larger size tree would likely fit a large horse.
Dislikes: The saddle is suppose to weigh 25 pounds, but it really weighs 29.5 pounds which was disappointing to me (I have a very tall horse) because lugging it over my head is a pain. The tooling is nice, but it would be better if it had more tooling. However, the upside of less tooling is that it has plenty of room to add silver.
Quality: Solid wood tree with a good warrantee
Summary: I tried and tried all the padded saddle seats and this one really is the best. IT really absorbs shock and the multi-layer padding doesn't flatten out like lots of the plain padded seats which only stay cushy for about six months.
