Purchase: I found this saddle on EBay almost new, seller claiming it was a close contact and it didn't fit her larger horse. She sold it with girth, leathers, and stirrups, and I got a deal at $500. Only used a few times.
Likes: This saddle fits lots of different sized horses. I've used it on TBs, warmbloods, QHs, and an arabian with no problems. It fits my leg great, I like the longer billets.
Dislikes: The color was initially kind of orange, which was not what the picture looked like, however after cleaning it and conditioning it, it darkened to a normal oakbark-ish color. It was also very stiff and uncomfortable, but again after some conditioning and working the leather it softened.
I was also mad that the saddle was an All-Purpose when it was advertised as a Close-Contact, but that's an Ebay problem.
Quality: It's built great, the leather seemed a little cheap, but with routine cleaning, it's holding up great.
Summary: I like the saddle, but I don't consider it show quality. It took me a long time to get comfortable with it, and it's fine now, but I still wouldn't have bought it if I knew ahead of time that it was an All-Purpose. I guess that's the risk of buying from Ebay on a budget. I still use it, but once I get the money, I'll be investing in a much nicer saddle.
Good saddle for a beginner or person just pleasure riding, but not really quality for big time showing.
