Purchase: I bought this saddle a few years ago, used off of ebay for about $500. I had ridden in a Berney Bros saddle previously at my vet's...she competes in Eventing and swears by Berney Bros.
Likes: I've loved this saddle from the moment I sat in it! It's very secure and very comfy. At first I only used it for trail riding & flat work on my young horse. Then we started Fox Hunting and my appreciation for this saddle increased tenfold!
Dislikes: There is nothing I don't like about this saddle....I absolutely LOVE it!
Quality: This saddle is extremely well made and the leather is beautiful, supple, durable & strong. I am very picky about leather quality and saddle quality.
Summary: I love this saddle so much I just sold my Lynn McKenzie Special barrel saddle (I think I've posted a review for it, too) so that I can order a new Berney saddle directly from Berney Brothers. Many of my fellow fox hunters ride in Berney Bros saddles and love them. I am currently having Berney Bros make me a flat hunt bridle...I can't wait to get it!!!
