Manufacturer: Newman Enterprises
Model: Horse Pal Fly Trap
Category: Fly Control
Purchase: I bought it on-line from bitingflies.com and paid $265.
Likes: This trap was easy to set up and is easy to move. But the biggest plus is that it works! We have a pond and a stream on our wooded farm, so the horse flies and deer flies are quite bad. Our poor horses wouldn't even go out during the day. This fly trap is very effective at catching biting flies.
Dislikes: Placement is key in getting this trap to work (the directions that come with it are very specific about that). We had to move it three or four times before we found the "perfect" spot.
Quality: Not even high winds or hail has caused a problem with this trap. It *is* expensive, but it also holds up. Ours is 4 years old now and looks new.
Summary: Anyone that has problems with biting flies should consider this trap. We simply cannot believe the number of flies it traps daily. While the price is high, it has been worth every penny.
