Purchase: I bought the Isabel Wintec online at Adams Horse Supply for $940.00. The price included a Cair girth, leathers, complete gullet kit, and stirrup irons, plus free shipping!
Likes: This is a magic saddle. I never thought I would ever purchase a Wintec saddle, being a leather snob, but I borrowed a friends' and was instantly in love. On the first ride, my position was made sooo much better, my horse went like a dream. I bought one for myself (after asking if she would sell me hers, but she is no dummy) a week later and the rides have been getting better and better. I ride a number of different horses at my barn, and it has been the same story with all of them. Even the most difficult horses respond beautifully. I have to think it is a combination of the wonderful, relaxed, correct position it puts the rider in, plus the comfort the saddle itself provides to the horse.
Dislikes: Nothing...I have had to put up with some snotty comments from other leather snobs at my barn, but when riding feels this great, who cares? Their loss....
Quality: Mine is only a couple weeks old, but my friends' Isabel is at least 10 years old and it looks and feels fantastic.
Summary: This is a magic saddle....leather snob or not, buy one!
