Likes: The seat and the panels feel like they are stuffed with memory foam. It is very comfortable to sit in, and fits my horse perfectly. I have tried my Kieffer, Crosby, and Collegiate saddles on my new young thoroughbred, and this is the only saddle that puts even pressure along her back! The other ones leave dry patches behind her withers because of her lacking topline. The leather on this saddle has been waxed so it is nearly impossible to scratch and is virtually water resistant. My legs feel very secure on the flat and over fences in this saddle. I also like that the gullet channel doesn't narrow near the cantle like a lot of saddles
Dislikes: The leather on the flaps is very stiff, even for a new saddle. It will take a lot of conditioning and riding to break them in. I would like if the flaps were rounder, too.
I like that the billets are reinforced with nylon, but this makes it extremely difficult to make the girth tight on the horse, and the first hole is too far up, so you will have to buy a girth that is AT LEAST 4 inches larger than the one you use
Quality: This saddle seems to be very balanced and durable. Won't scratch easily and is virtually water resistant. The stitching on the saddle is excellent.
Summary: Overall, it is a great saddle for the price. It looks like it will hold up and stay looking new for long time!
