Purchase: I purchased this bit from my favorite local tack shop after lusting after it for about six months. It set me back about $150 with tax.
Likes: As always, the Sprenger quality is wonderful. The KK angled middle link has been a favorite of mine for my dressage horses for some time. This is the first flat ring eggbutt/dee type they have offered in this mouthpiece, and my big mare just loves the shape and taste of it. The cheeks offer a touch more lateral pressure than a loose ring, which makes steering my bus of a mare a bit easier.
Dislikes: My only 'complaint', if you can call it that, is that they run a touch on the large size. If you're smarter than me and get one through HS's trial program, that wont be a problem for you!
Quality: This bit is classic Sprenger quality. It is beautifully made, and even extremely dirty after a long hack the cheeks still move flawlessly.
Summary: All things told, this is yet another example of Sprenger improving on a classic. It looks great, fits great, and horses love it.
