Purchase: I bought this saddle through State Line Tack; I needed it because I'm going to the University of Findlay's Equine program this fall. I cost me $499, before tax.
Likes: Well, I haven't actually ridden in it yet. But so far, I love the look of this saddle! It's beautiful and definetely appears to be well made. I will update this once I ride in it. I also enjoy the idea of the CAIR air panels and easy change gullet system, since I will be riding many different horses through out my college career.
Dislikes: I don't like the fact that the color is very different from the picture in the magazine and online. So beware. It is not newmarket, but more of a havana brown. So I suggest buying it before you get your other tack so it'll all match...now I have to get some darkening oil for my much lighter stuff...Also, I don't like that they didn't use the same type of material on the underneath of the saddle, but, since no one but me will be seeing it, I guess its not a big issue. There's also the Wintec name emblazened on the stirrup holder, it sorta looks tacky, hopefully it can be removed.
Quality: It appears to be very well made, and I can't wait to ride in it. It looks just like leather for the most part.
Summary: Overall, I'm happy with this product. I hope that it will serve its purpose for me well...and it will certainly look good doing it! On another note, State line shipping is awesome!! I ordered like $1,000 of stuff, and got ALL of it just two days later!!! (I shipped value ground) I highly recommend them!
