Purchase: Bought from a local saddlery, ended up paying $275 on a store sale. The first pair I ordered didn't fit the same at all, they must've mismatched them or something, one felt like a size 9 the other felt like a normal 7, so I sent them back. Second pair had a large cut in them, but when worn it was barely noticeable. Sent them back when one of the laces completely snapped and unraveled around the elastic from one ride. Third pair must be a charm.
Likes: The leather is of good quality, and the high spanish cut tops lengthen the look of your leg. They seem to be holding up alright. They clean up pretty well.
Dislikes: After a year of constant use, they still give me horrible blisters on the back of my ankles. I actually have scars on the back of my ankles because of it. They are well broken in though. It also feels like the zipper of the left boot is about to break near the ankle. They don't really ever get a "show ring shine" either like other brands of boots do, but this is a pretty common complaint with Ariats, and not a huge deal for me.
Quality: Very well constructed (this pair at least) and the leather is of very good quality.
Summary: Good boots, especially for the price I got them for, but they won't get that show ring shine if thats what you're looking for, and it seems like when you order them you either hit or miss with a good pair.
