Purchase: I ordered this girth from SmartPak Equine. Normally this girth retails at $110, but Smartpak's everyday price is $95. Usually the shipping is free with a coupon code.
Likes: This girth is SO luxuriously padded! It almost feels like they filled it with air. I have a really sensitive mare and decided on this girth b/c of what I had seen in reviews about it being so padded. I was not even prepared when I opened the box and pulled this girth out, it really blows my mind. I usually use Albion girths and have to admit that this girth far exceeds in comfort and quality. I decided to get this Nunnfiner girth instead of their other popular girth(passage) as the piaffe does not have elastic and I'm pretty sure I have always been guilty of tightening my elastic girths far too much, so I wanted the security of a no-brainer girth. I also like that NunnFiner went ahead with the "humane" style, I have always wanted to try one, but they were always out of my price range. The leather right in line with all the other products from this company, awesome! The buckles are "pointed" to make it easier to put through the billet holes and more difficult to come loose, which is nice. This girth is also "ergonomic" which has made a world of a difference in the stability of my saddle, I used to have problmes with my saddle sliding foward and this girth has eliminated that issue completely.
Dislikes: I am usually very picky and opinionated when it comes to tack...I normally think I could have done it better. Not this girth, I couldn't even have imagined up a girth this advanced and detailed regardless of price. I love everything about it and I have already converted half the barn to using NunnFiner girths!
Quality: The leather is soooo soft and supple and the stitching is detailed and straight. Everything seems really sturdy and I can see this girth being around for a long time.
Summary: Hands down, the best girth you can buy regardless of your budget. Your horse will thank you for it!
