Purchase: I was shopping around for a good fitting western saddle and was having troubles finding one that didn't bridge in the middle causing pressure points. A man from a tack shop an hour away came over with his van full of saddles and we tried all seven. One of them was this Fabtron and was the best fitting of all the western saddles. I didn't buy it then as the price tag was $850 Canadian! Later I found the same saddle on Horsetopia.com for $350.00
Likes: This saddle fits great! It has full quarter horse bars with a 7" gullet and fits our two quarter horse types and our big pony. It flares out nice in the front, allowing the shoulder to move more freely than other saddles.
The quality of this saddle is superior compared to other synthetics I have used. Good material and stitching. We've been using it for three years very regularly and it still looks great. The suede seat is getting worn in like all suede seats.
The 5" cantle makes it a deep sitting saddle, great for holding you in the saddle for games classes or riding ornery green horses!
Dislikes: It being a synthetic...there is nothing to not like!
Quality: This saddle sits right on the horse and allows the rider to sit in the proper position unlike cheap saddles.
The quality and construction is great. I hope to have this saddle for a long time!
Summary: The Fabtron Lady Trail Saddle with the Flex Tree is the best western fitting saddle I've ever had on my horses and I've tried far too many!
My one mare used to pin her ears back and swear at me when I'd put the Billy Cook on her. Now when I put this saddle on, she knows its not going to hurt and she's happy. No more tail swishing or hollowed back.
It fits me fine so we are both happy!
