Purchase: I needed another new pad (not) but I seen this NEW Clover Collection come available at Jeffers Equine online for $24.95. They looked soo nice I bought one as I had previously used Lami Cell saddle pads and liked them.
Likes: I loved the colors available and the multi colored trim. They are shaped to fit the horses back nicely. The stitching is of clovers on the pad in same color thread as the pad. Very cute. Price seemed good too.
Dislikes: Oh dear, not what I expected, disappointed. I've purchased other Lami Cell English pads and they were thick and made of quality cotton materials. This pad however seems "cheap", and to be of thinner inferior quality cotton top and the bottom. Wish it was cut a little more generously too, barely fits under my saddle. It's tag said made in Vietnam, but most pads are made off shore now.
Quality: Previous pads were thicker fill, this one is not so puffy. The bottom is like a terry material, not sure if it is tough enough to hold up to regular use and washings. The stitching looks & seems okay so that is a plus at least.
Summary: I use and wash my pads often, other Lami Cell pads have held up well, not too sure about this one. Doesn't have the same quality feel to it. I will be more careful in the future buying a Lami Cell English pad. I guess the old adage, "you get what you paid for" rings true here except I have seen nicer pads in my local tack store for same price, different brand. I will be buying there next time.
