Likes: This is by far the most elegant, well made saddle I have had the opportunity to ride in a long time.
The deep seat is very comfortable. The leather is of high quality and offers grip without being too sticky.
The thigh blocks are not too big and do not interfere or lock me in. They do offer just the right amount of support and do not force my long legs too far back like so many other saddles do.
The unique tree with the swept back points and open head is great for my horse with large shoulders.
Dislikes: Nothing. This is an under advertised saddle if anything.
Probably not a good choice for petite riders due to the placement of the thigh blocks and long flaps.
Quality: The leather is superb and supple, The craftsmanship is beautiful. No wonder Cliff Barnsby has been supplying the Queens Mounted Guard for so long.
The feel of the horse this saddle offers is great as well. Aids can be lighter and my horse is more responsive specially during lateral work.
Summary: Great saddle for both horse and rider and in today's market a great value when compared to other top brands.
I would prefer this saddle over all of the high end, custom saddles as far as quality and comfort for both horse and rider.
Extremely hard to find used, that should speak for itself.
