Purchase: I borrowed this girth from a friend, but they retail for around $50.
Likes: The neoprene on this girth is smooth and doesn't gall. It's rather wide, but has a bit of contour to fit behind the horse's elbows. It feels very sturdy and high quality.
Dislikes: It doesn't really conform to my horse's side, and didn't fit her well. I have a half Arab with pretty wide sprung ribs, and while it was tight on the underside, the sides still felt loose. It also didn't feel terribly elastic, and it was a struggle for me to tighten it all the way.
Quality: The quality is excellent. The material is smooth, stitching is tight, and overall it's a really nice girth. It just wasn't as elastic as I hoped it would be and didn't conform to my horse's shape very well.
Summary: This is a high quality synthetic girth and I have no doubt that it will last a long time with hard use. If you've got a round horse, or a "pear shaped" horse like I do, it might not be the best choice as it doesn't mold itself to the horse's sides.
