Purchase: I first heard of this product from a friend who got one for her horse. I the went to Badminton Horse Trials in 2004 and saw the Armadillo Airtec saddle pad there, as Matt Ryan was using one. I bought one form Badminton in 2004 for £60. I bought it because i needed a pad to go under my saddle that didnt affect the sides of the saddle and would wick away sweat.
Likes: It is easy to use, wicks away moisture, grips to the saddle and the horse to stop it moving about, helps to balance the saddle and stops the horse feeling the riders movement.
Dislikes: I bought a white one to go with my Piebald Cob and it shows up the dirt.
Quality: It is very well made, i have used it every day for the last year and it has mantained its shape and wicking properties. I wash it in the washing machine (although i'm sure your not suppost to)and it dries quickly and comes out relatively clean (white isn't the best colour to use every day on a field kept horse!) My friend has used one for the last 4 years and hers is still used daily and she has no problems with wear or tear.
Summary: I think this is a product well worth having, especially if you have a horse that is sensitive to riders movement, or who sweats a lot!
I will and have suggested it to all of my friends.
