Purchase: Greenhawk at the avenue, mobile unit at palgrave. Needed a new breastplate with running martingale for my stallion.
Likes: The leather quality isn't bad, and I like that the elastic is navy, and from far away it can look like antares without that expense. I like the easy on and off snaps for the d rings on the saddle
Dislikes: Fits very small. I bought a WB size for my mid-boned hanoverian, thinking it might be a bit too big. Boy was I wrong, it barely is big enough. Would definitely not fit a larger boned WB or draft cross. From the middle of the chest to the saddle is not generous in length at all, I've had to punch holes in it and it's still a little snug. Since it's a WB size, there's no size to move up to. It would be nice if they designed a jumper girth to go with their jumper breastplate. This breastplate rubbed my other horse in the chest with one use.
Quality: It fits small, I bought a size up and I'm glad I did. The snaps are good quality, and the straps are fairly wide on the horse's body, minimizing pressure points. The leather isn't bad, and the elastic is nice. It would be better with oiling.
Summary: Bottom line, I would purchase this again. For the price it's a good breastplate, and has some nice features.
