Purchase: Student bought for $75 used, another bought for $100 used.
Likes: The leather is a nice quality, and the trees on both saddles are both good and sound. The saddles have worn nicely, and the leather seems to get better with age.
Dislikes: Both trees are "mediums" but they are very narrow. The saddles also like to sit low in the back, and the stirrup bars are a little too forward for riding on the flat. All my students that use Crosbys have to ride with a riser pad, and they all struggle with a chair seat.
Quality: Construction is solid, and built to last. They also hold their value well- I expect when my students sell their saddles they will each be able to sell for a little more than their purchase price.
Summary: The saddle is nice, but the tree size runs narrow. This saddle would definitely not fit a wider horse and seems to built more for a pony or small, narrow horse than a warmblood. It is also difficult to hold a good leg position in the saddle.
