Purchase: I purchased these from my local tack shop at around $20 for a front pair ((I plan on purchasing a hind pair later on)). I had wanted a decent pair of splint boots to provide exceptional protection for my horse when jumping and doing conditioning work. I didnt have $100+ to spend on Woof Wear boots ((made by the same company)), so these were the alternative.
Likes: They do provide nice protection with soft neoprene and gel padding on the insides. The sizes ((9 different sizes so the perfect fit is always available)) fit perfectly, and they don't slide around at all. They come in many different colors, so you can get them to match any color combinations. They secure well with 3 velcro straps.
Dislikes: The neoprene does retain some water, like most splint boots do, but they dry out rather quickly if they are left hung on a fence overnight. Burrs, seeds, and sticktites do sometimes get stuck on them ((like normal boots)), but are easily removed with a stiff brush.
Quality: Extra tendon support and overall protection, 5/16" durable neoprene, nylon lining on both sides and bullet-nosed velcro closures. Loop N' Lock velcro fastening system with leather wear patches on the insides.
Available Colors: Navy, White, Green Turquoise, Brown, Burgundy, Charcoal, Red, Black, Purple, Blue and Teal.
Summary: Overall, they serve their job VERY well for a super price. I love them!
