Purchase: After test riding a new County Competitor, I decided to purchase a used County on Ebay for $1,000.
Likes: The leather was okay and the workmanship was good. I liked the idea of having a County rep in our area for fittings.
Dislikes: No matter what was done to the saddle by the rep, the saddle rocked from side to side on the horse. I was told that I was not tightening the girth enough; however, it continued to rock when the girth was tightened as much as possible. I also felt that my horse, while not showing any outward signs of soreness, was not as eager to work as he was/is under other saddles I have ridden him in.
Quality: This saddle "appeared" to be well constructed until I rode in it for awhile and experienced the rocking. I was disappointed with the leather quality as well for the initial price of the saddle.
Summary: In summary, I would not recommend a County Competitor because of the poor experience I had with mine.
Usefulness Rating: 2.78947 out of 5.
