Purchase: Bug Block by Absorbine was purchased from Dover Saddlery @ $10.90 for 32 oz bottle. Always looking for a more effective & less costly insecticide to ward off the swarms of deer flies from nearby wetlands as well as other flying insects. Purchase decision was based on it being a new product for 2005 & it contained more active ingrediants than other costly products I was using.
Likes: My mare acted like a bucking rodeo horse when the bugs attacked her, even when she was sprayed with other products. After being sprayed with Bug Block, she is quiet when being turned out & doesn't have any bug bite welts.
Dislikes: I wish it had a more pleasant smell. However, I would prefer effectiveness vs pleasant scent.
Quality: I like the bright purple bottle because it doesn't get mixed up with the other horses spray bottles.
Summary: Love the product, especially since my Mother makes me (14 yrs old) pay for my own horse supplies & I am already on my 4th bottle this summer. It's a great balance of value vs effectiveness and leaves me more money for my grooming supplies. Gotta make her pretty for the shows!
