Purchase: I had been looking for a saddle to fit my short backed "bouncy" arab mare for over a year. I researched numerous options and test rode quite a few. After trying out a saddle from this company that an acquaintance had bought I contacted Tony's site at Sycamore Creek. The saddle was a very reasonable price base of $499, with shipping the final price was %544, and well worth it.
Likes: My new trail saddle is perfect! The saddle was custom made to fit my arab mare. The saddle fitter (Who is also an equine and human chiropractor) came out to check the fit yesterday and he was quite impressed and the perfect fit and quality of the saddle. Rode in it yesterday and again today and both my mare and I were so comfortable! The contact person, Tony's patience and quick responses to my questions during the decision making stages were so helpful.
Dislikes: There are no problems at all.I will be replacing the billets with leather as I'm used to leather, not synthetic.
Quality: The saddle is beautiful, sturdy, and well constructed. It's light weight for both my horse and my comfort. My saddle fitter was amazed at the high quality leather and overall construction for a saddle of this price and he regularly evaluates very high priced saddles.The panels fit my mare perfectly!
Summary: This is a saddle I wish I had bought years ago! Quality, price, and customer service were wonderful. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a custom fit saddle.
