Purchase: I purchased one of these online some months ago. I was in the company of a saddle maker when it arrived. We opened the shipping box and was somewhat disappointing in the way it was packaged. That was the first thing (it looked like it was just placed in the box and shipped, no protection).
At first it appeared interesting until we examined it. The item is made in India. It looks like it ids made in India, not that I have much to say about India made goods, just not right for me. I was hoping USA made. Ok, so now we start looking at the way it was built. Poorly - yes that's how we summed it up. The quality of the "leather" was somewhat disappointing in quality, the stitching was not well sewn. The stitching at base of the pommel was coming apart. To make this review short - I never even placed it on my horse! Sent it back and had to wait for refund. It cost me shipping charges both ways.
I can honestly say that this item was what I considered a piece of s*&t. Perhaps the English version is better. I would not recommend this Western Bareback pad to my worst enemy....sorry.
