Purchase: Have a few pair. Retail for $219. Have found one pair half price at Four Winds Saddlery, one pair 65% off appreciation saddle at Foxcreek Mobile Equine Outfitters and another sadly labeled "jockey pants" which I purchased brand new in 2010 off ebay for a whopping $12.90 before shipping. ARE EASILY WORTH $200...just got lucky.

Likes: These are the best breeches for the serious rider and competition rider. I also like TS Pros but they do not fit me near as well. The lower leg openings on the Ariat pros are second to none for comfort. The material is light but unlike other review stated...is not thin at all. Is the perfect weight for a breech. I wonder if she did not try original rise in too small a size for her hips complaining about everything showing through. I think they fit perfectly! They wash up like new after 50+ washes in sports detergent and the finish of the fabric remains. I have not had a single minor issue with any changes to the fabric. The colors beige and tan are both nice and I have one embossed paisley design pair for schooling that is really gorgeous.

Dislikes: Am not a huge fan of Ariat in general, okay? Had a pair of hunt boots that required new zippers both within 6 months of use.....but what is not to like about breeches that fit, stand up to the rigors of daily use and washing, and come out show ring ready every time. Price? Hey I am not made rich either but I do recognize that breeches should be an investment and should hold up beautifully for years with good care. Again, could look around and grab a deal but $200 is fair for the quality and longevity. PS I REALLY DETEST THE ORIGINAL RISE STYLE and find that the low rise is a very nice mid-low rise that fits PERFECTLY.

Quality: Have worn Millers, Pikeur, Kyra, TS, Ariats over the past 25 years mainly as an "A" hunter rider and as a junior eq rider but also for daily fun like trail riding and hanging around the barn. I feel good in them and look as good as I can in them! They are high tech fabric that adjusts to seasonal need and resists any showing of wear or stain. Once you find your ideal in Ariat Pro sizing they cannot be beat for looks, comfort, function, durability.

Summary: Between the TS Pro and Ariat Pro, will take Ariat Pro's anyday for day to day training and showing.
