Purchase: Bought this turn-out sheet one month ago from Chick's on line for $39.99. Great price for this denier. I like sheets for the in-between weather and also to help avoid having to groom a muddy horse before riding since mine are out most of the day.
Likes: I liked the price and I like that it is very tough- practically like an armour shield against wind etc.
Dislikes: Runs one size small which is frustrating. I bought a 72 and it will not fit my broad built 15.2 hh warmblood/arab mare nor will it fit my finer bodied 16.1 hh TB. both of which measure 72. The higher neck shield does not sit as nicely as in the picture and kind of buckles down at the sides on my TB but it seems like it would still keep the rain off. The worst trade off is that although this is a sheet and very tough which I needed for my horses because we have alot of thorn bushes that they like to drag rugs under, it is not breathable. My thin skinned but hot blooded TB sweats in it. This means I can not really use it on her for the in-between days ...which is why I purchased it. I therefore much prefer the lighter-weight and better fitting Free Runner from Chick's.
Quality: Seems well constructed. I have not had rain yet since I purchased these rugs.
Summary: Good turnout sheet if all you want to do is keep the wind and rain off a horse that perhaps is not normally rugged during the winter but is turned out. Very tough. Order one size up from normal. There is a trade off between breath ability and durability with this rug.
