Purchase: I paid $70.00 for this pad, and bought it on ebay.
Likes: This is THE BEST bareback pad I have EVER used. My friend also loved it so much; she bought one new as well. It is very well made. It offers a soft ride, but not too bulky so you can maintain close contact. The girth is excellent (grippy) as well as the underside of the pad. You do not even have to over tighten it. I have ridden for hours (2 - 4 hours) in it, with no problems with slippage. The bottle, and pocket for it are great as well. I also like the nylon strap if you need to grab on to something. I would highly recommend this pad. Every one who has used it agrees.
Dislikes: Honestly there is nothing that I dislike about this bareback pad. I think it is slightly pricey at the $70, but in the long run...well worth it really.
Quality: Excellent quality. The microsuede type material in the seat is grippy, and the underside of the pad grips the horse well, and leaves an even sweat mark. All materials have held up well in the years that I have owned mine.
Summary: This is an excellent quality bare back pad, that I would highly recommend. It is so lightweight and easy to use, that I usually grab it over both my english, and western saddles that are light weight as well. Without stirrups; you just throw it on, cinch and go! Relative to some pricier bareback pads of the same quality but with better "name" recognition: it is a fair price, although it would be more appealing just a tad lower in price.
