Purchase: I discovered DK at the 2005 World Cup in Las Vegas, where I met the owner, Danny Kroetch. I purchased this saddle for $4,350 after having Danny give me his honest opinion on saddle fit for myself and my horse, and after having sat in a demo, other makes like CWD and Antares couldn't compare.
Likes: This saddle is made from high quality leather. You have a choice of leather types and colors that some other makes don't offer. The Flair panels are easy to adjust, and allow my horse the freedom to use his shoulders both on the flat and over fences. It took no time at all to break in the saddle and it fit like a glove the first time it was placed on my horse's back.
Dislikes: The price is the only think I dislike about this saddle, but for the amount of use, it's paid itself off time and time again.
Quality: This is one of the best saddles I've seen construction-wise. Friends of mine who have paid as much for other makes, have already had to have their saddles reflocked or stitching redone, or found out months after purchase that the saddle wasn't right for their horse in the first place. With the adjustable gullet, I was able to have a representative (who happened to board with me) fit my saddle for a new horse I'd purchased and I couldn't have asked for a better fit.
Summary: This saddle is the one if you're looking for high quality and adjustability, so long as you don't mind paying the high price for it. If you do, you'll find that it was worth every penny.
