Purchase: I purchased this blanket from Dover Saddlery for $129 after seeing it two years earlier at a friends tack shop when they had first been introduced on the market.
Likes: I love the variety of colors (mine is the teal plaid), the powder coated hardware, and teflon coated exterior. My thoroughbred is notorious for ripping blankets and this exterior has surpassed those of other blankets I've purchased.
Dislikes: The only thing I dislike about this blanket is the stitching that holds the front straps and rear d-rings in place. I purchased this blanket in late winter and it was rarely used, mainly stored until this fall. After two weeks of use, the stitching on the bottom front strap gave way, and the top is hanging on by a thread.
Quality: The overall construction is well done, if not for the stitching, and the blanket is one of the higher quality (1200+ denier) blankets I've purchased for this price.
Summary: I absolutely love this blanket. My boss uses them on her horses and they've held up well, so I don't know if the issue with the stitching is my blanket alone, but it was cheaper for me to get it fixed than try to send it back for a refund or exchange from Dover, where I would have waited for weeks to get a new one.
