Purchase: I purchased 3 duratech heavy nylon and mesh hay bags recently. I have two mountain horses and a mini donkey. Some of the hay we have this year is dusty and I liked the idea of the mesh sides and back. I also wanted to slow down the rate at which the horses were eating. I ordered them from Schneiders (sstack.com)and as they were only $11.95 each I guess I should've figured they might not last but I thought I'd get more than a week out of them!

Likes: I liked the mesh to allow the dust to fall through and I liked the limited access to the hay.

Dislikes: They were kind of difficult to fill.

Quality: Terribly shoddy construction, the D rings on the back (to tie the bag down to prevent swinging) ripped off within 2 days. I notified Schneiders. By the time they replied offering to reimburse me for having the rings reattached I already had done it myself but the mesh was tearing off the nylon. I told them about that happening and haven't heard from them since.

Summary: Don't waste your time or your money unless you're looking to feed a 150# mini donkey - his is still pretty much in one piece. These bags aren't made to stand up to any kind of use at all, even the nylon by the top hooks is shredding.
