Purchase: I bought this saddle used from an online tack store for $450. After searching for several months for a saddle that would fit my high withered Thoroughbred, I was told to contact the saddle fitters at Trumbull Mountain tack and they recommended this saddle to me.
Likes: This saddle is made by stubben, but is considered their off brand. I loved everything about this saddle, I called it my velcro saddle because of the deep seat, knee blocks, and thigh blocks that comfortably held me into place on the flat and over fences up to 3 foot. The leather was really good quality and very soft and supple. The flocking also has held up very well over its entire life.
Dislikes: Whatever they used to make the black leather look shiny has worn off where the leathers rub and where the girth comes in contact with the saddle, which has left the leather underneath exposed to the elements.
Quality: The construction is very good, they use the same leather and tree that they use on the regular stubben saddles, but at half the price new.
Summary: If I had the opportunity to buy one of theses saddles again I would in a heartbeat, I was very sad to sell this saddle but it does not fit my current horse. I hope these saddles start to become more readily available here in the US.
