Purchase: I purchased this as a Christmas present for my son and what a mistake it was. I purchased it from a very reliable online supplier (horse.com) only to find out that it was a MFG product only and all my dealings needed to be with the MFG after my initial order was places.. The price was 64.99 plus shipping.

Dislikes: The Halter is defective. The cheeks sit extremely low on the jowls instead of towards the center of the cheek. The pole strap can not be adjusted to a smaller setting because of a design flaw.The pole strap is tapered and the actual buckle is wide enough to fit the wider part of the pole strap to allow for a smaller setting. When mfg was contacted they advised this was not a defect and refused to cover the return shipping on the item
Quality: leather was pretty good however the leather was fairly dry and would need to be oiled properly
Summary: I am extremely disappointed with the item and with the mfg for not taking responsibility for their obviously defective merchandise. Also this halter is offered through lot of popular tack suppliers, but because it is an mfg item and not a stock item you have to deal with the mfg directly and wait forever for them to handle the issue. Don't be fooled thinking that because you have had great experiences with your favorite online supplier that this would be handled by them because it will not.
