Purchase: I bought this from Valley Vet Supply for about 60 dollars because I have a mare that cribs and so far I have found nothing that works on her. Although I was put off for a while by the price, I finally caved in and bought one to help save her teeth.
Likes: It is very high quality material. It won't break for the life of the product.
Dislikes: Firstly, it didn't work. It claims that it can be worn loosely, so I put it on loose to begin with. No effect. I put it on tighter and tighter, with still no effect. Not only that, but unlike the nutcracker collars, it even wore all the hair off her body everywhere the collar touched. Some of it grew back, but it's winter and she's permanently bald where her mane used to be and behind her ears.
Quality: This is a high quality leather collar. It is very heavy. The buckles are not easy to maneuver because it is so heavy, but it won't break.
Summary: I'm still looking. It didn't work for my horse and was the worst of any cribbing product I've ever tried. Not only was it the most expensive and didn't do what it claimed to do, it also harmed my horse more than any other style. Not worth the cost.
