Likes: I'd have to say that the only thing going for this saddle package is the price.
Dislikes: My daughter has had this package for 6 months and we are already shopping for new tack. This may be a nice set for a beginner riding once a month, but not for anyone else. I think after 6 months the only thing we don't need to replace is the irons.
Quality: The leather is cheap and soft, like it's not even leather. It started to crack after only a few months. Now I'm sure most riders do not clean and condition their tack EVERY time so that can't be the reason. The stitching on the saddle is starting to pull now as well. And I'd call the suede pads a cheap substitute for leather as well.
Summary: Not being a horse person, when shopping for a beginner's package for my daughter, I made the mistake in not asking advice. I didn't realize that yes, you do get what you pay for. If you have a child that goes in and out of hobbies with the changing of the season, get this package so you are not wasting so much money on tack. If your child is a horse freak like mine, and you know they'll ride for a long time, invest in a better saddle, you'll be happier in the long run.
