Purchase: I purchased this neck cover to match a blanket I recently bought. In really heavy blizzards, I wanted to be able to keep the moisture from dripping down my horse's neck and shoulder and provide extra warmth when the windchill is 20 below or more.
Likes: It's made of sturdy fabric, has ample fill, and seems very well made. It fits well and is quite easy to put on and take off. I like the velcro neck closure and the two buckle straps. It attaches to the blanket at three points, a snap at the withers and tabs, with velcro, on each side of the neck. The velcro enables you to fasten or unfasten them without taking off your gloves. There is nice fleece at the poll area.
Dislikes: Nothing really. I notice they don't come in a "small" size, just medium and large. Luckily, my horse can wear the medium.
Quality: Seems to be excellent.
Summary: I'm glad I bought this; I can use it when necessary or detach it when the weather is milder. It's sturdy, keeps the snow and rain from trickling under my horse's blanket and provides extra warmth from the wind. When he's wearing this he doesn't spend as much time in his run-in stall.
