Purchase: I was looking for my first saddle to use during weekly lessons that was versatile. I got it off of eBay for about $110, after having my trainer find it for me. It was used when I got it, and came with stirrups, leathers, a cotton girth. I have now had it for almost three years, and it is still great. I have shown locally in it, used it in lessons, and now on my own horse. It has fit a large variety of horses. It was a good buy
Likes: The saddle is pretty comfortable, and the panels soft. The leather is good for gripping, and has saved me from some minor falls. This saddle is great for jumping, flatwork, and hacking out.
Dislikes: The leather is a little slippery, and not exactly what you would call buttery soft. The color is okay, and stays well, but the sticking has come a little loose in one spot. Mind you, I use this saddle almost every day for a couple of hours at a time. The bottom that sits on the horses back is a bit hard.
Quality: Well constructed, with boos balance. Nice a lightweight. The quality is good for a first time saddle, but I wouldn't suggest any showing in a higher level or outside of local. Fits a variety of horses, and is overall worth the price
Summary: Like this saddle a lot, though would like to move up to a courbette, Crosby, HDR or something for showing. Definitely lasts to a bunch of wear and tear and abuse.
