Purchase: I acquired this particular saddle pad at my local tack store for $69.00.
I was in the market for a durable saddle pad that I could use for everyday riding as well as trail riding.
Likes: The pad is covered in a durable Herculon material, and has a contoured design for a better fit and less roll.
The Herculon material is mildew resistant, quick drying, and very easy to clean according to the description given on Weaver's website.
A 1" felt insert and a maize fleece bottom provide extra cushioning and comfort for your horse.
Distressed top grain wear leathers complete the pad.
Dislikes: I really wish that Weaver would have used 100% wool fleece on the under side of the pad. Also the stitching on the wear leathers could have been reinforced a little bit better.
Quality: Overall, the quality and construction appear to be very nice.
Summary: Weaver Leather makes very nice products that are made in the USA.
