Category: Trail Saddles
Purchase: I bought it from my local Tucker Dealer www.saddleupshop.com It was about $1900 but I upgraded to leather covered Trail Glide stirrups and changed seat color to black which really made it look nice. I later went back and bought the Tucker Double Billet Enduro Balance Rigging (VERY VERY nice!)
Likes: This saddle was the ONLY saddle that didn't actually rest on my poor thoroughbred's withers. It fit really well and it is really comfortable. I have had it 2 years, ride daily, and clean it about once a month. It looks like new. Leather is really good quality.
Dislikes: I love love love this saddle. The only downside I can think of is that both Western and English riders tell you your saddle cinch is "too far back" LOL The Double Billet Enduro Balance cinch does sit slightly behind where a western cinch would sit to allow for more front leg movement on trails. It works GREAT but everybody else loves to tell you it's "wrong" LOL
Quality: I have had it 2 years, ride daily, and clean it about once a month. It looks like new. Leather is really good quality.
Summary: I was SO scared that I might make a mistake and waste money. I tried one out for several days and loved it (Demo cost rental went towards purchase). Summer then came out and fitted saddle to horse then made sure it fit me too. It is absolutely the best purchase I've made and I do not regret the cost at all. This saddle will be used by somebody in our family for the next 50 years!
