Purchase: I purchased this blanket (MW) from Adams Horse Supply in 2006 to help my horse adjust from the Florida weather to Iowa weather when he moved north in late September. Due to a specific stocking/shipping issue, I got the Rambo for the price of the Rhino- $180. He only wore it for about 2 weeks, though, as we were hit with a warm spell and he adjusted quite well. This winter, 2010-11 is his first season actually wearing it full-time.
Likes: Everything? No shoulder rubs, no mane rubs, no sore withers, no hip rubs, no leg straps to rub, no shifting, no ripping/tearing, no sweating... the list just goes on and on. No other blanket has come close to fitting him this well, this comfortably, and kept him this dry. I especially love that the MW came in Navy/Silver, which are his colors.
Dislikes: Honestly, the only thing I don't like is the price.
Quality: Beautiful. He is turned out with a rough-playing gelding and a super bossy pony mare and the blanket looks as good as it did the day I took it out of the bag. Well, the tail strap isn't looking too pretty, but that's to be expected.
Summary: Absolutely wonderful blanket for my hard to fit Arab with the broad chest. I can't see buying or even trying any other blankets for him with this one working so wonderfully.
