Purchase: When my horse sustained a neck injury, requiring chiropractic adjustment and massage, I looked at "Back on Track" products advertised in several catalogs as this company had advertised the beneficial effects of their blankets, pads, sheets and boots. None of the catalogs offered a neck wrap, but then I went to the "Back on Track" website, and found they do indeed include a neck wrap in their line of products. I ordered it immediately for around $100 with shipping and it arrived on my doorstep within days.
I was hoping it would speed healing.
Likes: It is light, beautifully made, has plenty of clips and fleece at the poll.
Best of all, this product works. It really does what the advertising copy says it does: creates a therapeutic heat that reduces inflammation that heals, and helps loosen tight muscles.
Dislikes: It is just a bit loose; I would like to be able to pull the velcro tabs a bit snugger, but I've adjusted it as much as I can. It fits the horse perfectly for length and width, I just need to take it up a notch or two to keep it from slipping, but the velcro strip isn't long enough, but in spite of this, it still has done its job.
Quality: Top of the line. The horse has worn it overnight every night for a month and there is no sign of wear. I use it under a regular neck cover which probably has protected it; the horse is not kept in a stall but rather has a paddock with a run-in stall.
Summary: This piece of equipment has made a huge difference in helping my horse recover. I would not hesitate to recommend any Back on Track product for muscle soreness. I am thinking of maybe getting something from their line of human products for my own aches and pains. . .
