Purchase: I bought these boots through Dover Saddlery to replace my old pair that was falling apart, I paid $124 for them.
Likes: They are nice boots and seem to be very protective. They are nice enough for the (jumper class) show ring. They are also nice and easy to clean. It's very handy to just be able to quick rub them with a wet wipe before going into the show ring and have them look perfectly clean! It was also nice that they came in a set of four.
Dislikes: The quality doesn't seem to live up to the Eskadron name. They scratch VERY easily, which leads me to believe they won't hold up for many years. Also, they sometimes bother my older gelding causing him to be off, which his old boots never did.
Quality: Again, I was expecting better quality of the famous Eskadrons I hear so much about. I've only had them for a little over 6 months so I guess only time will tell if these boots will surprise me and hold up for longer than a few years.
Summary: Honestly, even though I was disappointed with the quality, it wasn't a bad deal for what I paid for them. Two sets of boots (one pair front, one pair hind) for only $120 really isn't bad. If your looking for a book that is protective, but your not going to be using daily, I think you will be fine buying these. However if you want something a little more hardy, I would go with a more expensive, better quality boot.
