Purchase: I paid $60 or more for this girth at a saddle shop.
Likes: Not much. I should have been a smarter shopper. Oh, I do like the leather keeper built into the girth on the off side so the short latigos with 4 or 5 holes doesn't flop around.
Dislikes: The girth stretched after a few uses. I should have bought two sizes smaller. Maybe it was the alpaca wool? Maybe alpaca has more stretch.
I don't like the roller part in the ring that is supposed to make securing and tightening the cinch easier. The latigo will slide to one side instead of staying centered. I tried a wider latigo and the same thing happened.
Their is a leather area in the middle of the girth that I thought traditionally was on only on the outside and not the skin side of the horse. This one is on both sides and in hindsight it will probably rub the horses too.
I found the girth priced online for about $20 cheaper so that made me even more unhappy with the purchase.
Quality: Seems like Classic Equine tried to improve a normal, basic roping cinch, went overboard and created a useless product. The cinch is name only and not very useful.
Summary: I will not buy this model or some of these features again.
